Spinning complete

I have been busy knitting lately but unfortunately can't blog about it at the moment. As soon as I can you will be the first to know.

A week or so ago I did complete some spinning. This was a beautiful handdyed merino roving was bought at Queensland Spinners, Weavers and Textile Artists earlier in the year.

I created a simple 2ply spun on my Majacraft Suzie using my new jumbo plying kit and tensions lazy kate. It is amazing how much easier spinning can be when you are using the correct tools.

This 255gm roving yielded 1125m of yarn. I divided it into two skeins to make life easier. As to what I'm going to do with it I have no idea. I may keep one skein and sell the second so I can keep funding my addiction :).

I'll share my next spinning project later in the week.

Keep smiling :-)

Happy Father's Day

A knitted item for Father's Day. I've called it Father's Day Fishing Beanie and it was a gift for my dad-in-law.

It is being modelled by the beautiful Anna as I know Ian wouldn't all me to photograph him.

The pattern is Jacques Cousteu Hat by Typy and is knitted in Cascade 220 Jet.

Keep smiling :-)
