a skein of 2ply silk lace Dyelicious Hand Dyed Yarn in Midnight
add in a Majacraft Suzie spinning wheel and about 3 hours
and you have a lovely skein of merino/silk 4ply lace in Iris at Midnight
I love silk but don't enjoy knitting it so yesterday while been a voyeur on Flickr I had some inspiration. This skein should weigh about 100gm and should be around 600 metres. At the moment it is looking a little tight but hopefully after a warm bath with a little SOAK it will relax.Now to spin the second 50gms up.

Ohhh - I LOVE IT!!! You must bring it on Saturday so I can have a feel. What are you plans for it now?
I'm sure it will become something lacy. I wasn't sure at first about the blue and purple but once spinning it was perfect. After a strange conversation with Miss A she was sure I was spinning wool into silk :). If only

You're incorrigible J. I've finished the second skein and plan to weave this particular set. Ask K nicely and she might dye you up the colours and I'll ply them for you.
